Orientation Audio CD Series: Reichian Therapy
Reichian Therapy, developed by Wilhelm Reich, is a method for character transformation that recognizes the essential identity of the mind and body. Also known as Orgone Therapy, Orgonomic Therapy, and Bio-psychotherapy, Reichian Therapy recognizes how "armoring" against the free flow of life energy blocks full emotional expression. The Orgonomic therapist works with the principles of psychodynamic psychotherapy to reveal to the patient/client their character attitudes and their character armoring.
These two Orientation audio courses are designed to offer the professional some basic exposure to practical, powerful key concepts in Reichian Therapy.
Breaking Through Patient Resistance
originally recorded on 4/4/09 in Mill Valley, CA
Therapy falls apart and patients move on unless the therapist can work effectively with the patient’s resistance. Reich worked directly with immediacy and efficacy in approaching resistance. Learn how to work with presenting character styles that actually illuminate and manifest the patient's resistance. Discover ways to pin-point latent negative resistance and see how it infects treatment. $60 plus applicable tax and shipping.
Integrating Somatic Psychology into Current Therapeutic Paradigms
originally recorded on 4/16/11 in Mill Valley, CA
This audio class provides an overview of Reich's theoretical and clinical approach including characteranalysis and a description of the elements of Reich's biophysical theory and practice. Reich's understanding of character and its template in the body will be presented. Many psycho-dynamic approaches can incorporate Reich's techniques which will enliven and deepen long term or short term treatment. The orientation will include an experiential demonstration of characteranalytic verbal work. $65 plus applicable tax and shipping
