I'd like to introduce to you the Center for Personal Growth, which I founded to support people in their personal development.
The Center for Personal Growth is dedicated to facilitate lasting, sustainable individual, social and global transformation. It fosters human development, personal growth and well-being on all levels: emotional, physical, spiritual and mental.
Our mission is to facilitate your passionate inquiry into a sustainable work- and lifestyle.
We provide private personal growth coaching sessions, workshops and other events, as well as consulting and facilitation services for profit and non-profit organizations.
With our solution-focused personal growth coaching approach rooted in systems theories and cybernetic & constructivist philosophies, we support you in achieving lasting sustainable change that will also address somatic aspects, including your emotions. This will result in fully-embodied solutions for your life that are coming from your true authentic self.

We will have a very special event on January 23, starting at 7pm: An Evening with Dr. Bradford Keeney, introducing the The Life Force Theatre. The Life Force Theatre stages the transformative play of wild ecstatic expression. It invites experimental performance with unlimited liberation and absurd paradoxical action. The Life Force Theatre does not teach; it removes the shackles of interpretive meaning. It does not heal; it respects the interdependency of illness and wellness. It does not promote spirituality; it is spirited and fully human. It does not simply entertain: it complexly intertwines. The Life Force Theatre is nothing less than an extreme expression of the creative life force, the amor of the mysterium tremendum et fascinans.
More about Life Force Theatre and Brad Keeney and sign-up, here. The first workshop we will be offering is "The Alexander Technique" with John A. Baron, on January 17, 10.30am-3.30pm.
The Alexander Technique is a one hundred year old method, successfully used by performing artists, athletes and health professionals as a means of employing correct body know-how. This educational technique teaches individuals to first recognize certain habits, individual response pattern and movements that are harmful and then to reduce and eliminate them.
This program offers participants a practical means for addressing their physical, intellectual and emotional well-being at work and everyday life.Since it is our goal to provide follow-up support, we will also individual follow up sessions, upon request.

On January 31, 2pm-5pm, we will have another great workshop that also uses the principles of the Alexander Technique: The Speaking Voice with Lisa Wentz. It's a vocal workshop for anyone who would like to improve their speaking skills.
Everyone has the ability to be a powerful speaker. This workshop focuses on the integration of posture, breath and sound. You will learn to speak with natural ease by undoing tension patterns that affect your voice and body language. You will learn to embody your message, and engage the listener while provoking thought, and feeling. With a deepened awareness of the mind, body, and voice connection the participants will gain invaluable insight towards affecting listeners in their personal and professional circumstances.
Participants will
- Learn techniques to overcome fear: speak with ease and confidence
- Toolkit: learn simple resonance and articulation exercises you can do on your own
- Vocal power: develop project confidence
- Deepened awareness: discover how physical tensions reduce the effectiveness of communication and how to release them
On February 1, 11am-4pm, we have the pleasure of having Seymour Carter who refers to himself as "Esalen's resident alien, a secular sceptic in a utopian sub-culture". His workshop is called Being Present: The Way of Mindfulness - Sensory Awareness and Gestalt Practice.
This class - designed for teachers, medical professionals, or lay persons interested in mind/body practices - will introduce participants to various ways to overcome stress and anxiety-related episodes, both in themselves and in their clients.
Gestalt Practice and Sensory Awareness have the same goal; To awaken the senses and allow the person to live more fully in the here and now of the present moment.
More about the workshop, Seymour Carter and sign-up, here. For February 21, 10.30am-5.30pm, we could win another long-time Esalen workshop leader: Patrick Douce. Patrick will be teaching Spinal Awareness - The Essence of Feldenkrais. Patrick is one of Moshe Feldenkrais' first American students. Spinal Awareness is a blend of movement, touch, and group interaction that enhances flexibility, posture, and helps improve most chronic and acute physical problems. It is based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais, Taoist-Chinese-Indonesian Martial Art, and the Esalen Experience.
